- Mobile Edition - Mobile EditionDurango resident Edgar Duane Patton died Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at his home north of town. He was 71.
Known as Duane, he was born to Edgar Roy and Lucille Haywood Patton on July 19, 1938, in Seminole, Texas. He grew up in Big Spring, Texas.
On Aug. 31, 1984, he married Jill Greene in Phoenix.
Mr. Patton worked in the computer business for Boeing, Texaco, General Electric and Honeywell at locations in the United States and around the world.
He enjoyed skiing and travel.
Mr. Patton is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jill Patton, of Durango; daughters Kathy Patton of Big Spring, Texas, and Kari Lujan of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A small family service has been held.
