Hess
A Hesperus man has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in La Plata County.
Peter Roger Hess, 30, has been released from the La Plata County Jail on $5,000 bail. He was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of felony sexual assault and unlawful sexual contact, which is a misdemeanor.
Hess is suspected of exposing himself and having sexual relations with a child between December and the first week of January.
He showed up last week to be interviewed and arrested wearing a camouflage shirt that read: "Stalker ... and proud of it."
The 6th Judicial District Attorney's Office is expected to file formal charges at 9 a.m. Feb. 25 in District Court in La Plata County.
